Kedah moved into the top four of the Malaysia Super League for the first time this season to stay behind Perlis and sharing the same point with Selangor and Kelantan after an easy 3-1 victory over Pahang at the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Setar.

But the home fans were shocked in the 38th minute when Pahang reduced the deficit against the run of play through midfielder Shahrizan Salleh who unleashes a left-footed long-range strike which beat Kedah goalkeeper Mohd Helmi Eliza.
National player Khyril Muhymeen reinstate the Canaries’ two-goal lead just three minutes later from Fadly corner and scored with a stunning shot on the turn.
