From the latest list issued by FIFA this month, Malaysia climbed up four place to improved their world ranking to 162nd position.
Malaysia were ranked a lowly 166th out of 199 nations last month. Malaysia's lowest position was 170th which they occupied in April while their best position was No 75 in 1993.
The 1-1 draw against India in a friendly match in Hyderabad India has help Malaysia to improve their ranking.
Meanwhile, in Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ranking, Malaysia has go up by two places moving up from 31st to 29th spot.
However, Malaysia still behind the South East Asia football power behind Thailand (15), Singapore (19), Indonesia (22) and Myanmar (29).
Malaysia will have the opportunity to improve their ranking again when they compete in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Cup in December.
