The Kelantan Fottball Association (KAFA) wants a full-time manager for their next season Premier League campaign. If this happens Kelantan will be the second state side after Super League’s Selangor to go for a full-time manager.

Kafa vice-president, Afandi Hamzah said that their would put up advertisements on their intention to hire a manager and coach to hunt the right candidates to lead the state team to win the Premier League.

“The council wanted a more professional approach and we have decided to advertise for the two positions. What we want is the right management team because we have more or less decided on the players”

In 2008 Premier League campaign where they finished third and missed out on promotion to Super League, Kelantan was coached by former national coach Norizan Bakar before he quit. Then Kelantan squads were coached by Frenchman Regis Laguesse for Malaysia Cup competition. For the record, the team chalked up a 100% home wins record at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Bharu.

Meanwhile, KL Plus FC under Mat Zan Mat Aris having hard time to fill the position left by their foreign player for their debut in Super League next season.

Team manager Husni Mohd Yusuf said that the attacking trio of Nigerian Alex Agbo and Brazilians Tercio Nunes Machado and Andrin Dario Tranidad were instrumental in KL Plus’ strong showing to finish as the runners-up in the Premier League.

“It will not be easy to get replacements of their caliber. We had retained only six players from the previous squad and were scouting for the right buys.”

“The local players are in better demand now following the ban on foreign players. But the problem is that their asking price is more and at times double than what they earned before,”
