No Titus James for Malaysia

Again Malaysia supporters will not have the chance to see Malaysian French based player, Titus James Palani to represent Malaysia in AFF Suzuki Cup this December. The door for him to play for Malaysia might be shut down earlier than expected.

Malaysia head coach, B. Sathianathan will only wait him until end of this month for him to report for national training. If there is no news from him, the 22 years old player will be dropped from national squad.

After defeated against Vietnam in Merdeka Cup 2008 tournament, Malaysia will resume their training this Sunday before flying to Myanmar for Challenge Cup tournament that start on 9 November.

Titus James Palani, ex-winger for France Third Division, Villenoy FC has been called few times to represent Malaysia including the friendly match against English Premier League club, Chelsea last July. However, he said he have other commitment during that time.

AFF Suzuki Cup scheduled to start on 5 – 28 December. Malaysia is in Group B and will play their match in Bangkok, with Thailand, Vietnam and Loas. Group A will consist of Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodia that will be based in Jakarta.

Malaysia expected to use the same set of players in Merdeka Cup Tournament.

Asking about Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli chance to wear national jersey, “In my opinion, until now Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli still the best striker in country with Safee Sali. But I need to left him out from the squad because he still unfit and recovering from horrible injury”

B. Sathianathan contract as national head coach will ended on December, however he focus to honor his contract in ensuring Malaysia success in AFF Suzuki Cup.
