Don't expect two horses race for Group A. Bola Today prediciting the semifinalist will be decide between Indonesia, Singapore, and Myanmar. Indonesia and Singapore for sure will be the favourite, but don't rule out Myanmar who is top on form.


Even coming to this year AFF Suzuki Cup tournament as a champion, Singapore doesn’t start as favorite this year because of the injury crisis. They lost Khairul Amri and Fazrul Nawaz. Both of them are better striker that Singapore has compared on what they have at the moment. Too make thing worst, their ex-captain Aide Iskandar has retired from football last season.

However, they still have two ‘imports’ strikers Alexander Duric and Agu Casmir to lead their frontline. To make thing worst, Nor Alam Shah still finding his best form after 7 months suspension for football scene. Nor Alam Shah is the lethal striker who scored seven goals against Laos in previous AFF Cup edition where Singapore trash Laos 11-0.

Singapore will miss some spark upfront, but I believe Singapore will be organized under Radojko Avramovic regime.


Indonesia who comes down as host this year will have better advantage to make to semifinal. They are expected to win on home soil which will satisfied their supporters where Indonesia never win AFF Cup since the introduction in 1996 who formerly known as Tiger Cup.

The player to watch in Indonesia camp will be Markus Horison which is the current best goalkeeper for the region, Charis Yulianto as the commanding defender to secure Indonesia backline and Indonesia captain, Ponaryo Astaman. Not to forget Bambang Pamungkas which is good in the air.

The only problem for Indonesia is to solve their finishing problem where they are struggle for goal for the last 7 games.


Myanmar is the side who has been together for a long time. Their national team is a group of player that come up through the rank and played together for quite some time.
Like Indonesia, Myanmar has a good goalkeeper which is Aung Aung Oo. He seldom makes silly mistake and top competent goalkeeper.

Myanmar come to the tournament with reputation as Grand Royal Cup champion recently where the beat Indonesia in the final and thrashing Malaysia 4-1 in the semi final.
