Perak who represented by young and untested players passed the first test as they beat newcomer to the Malaysia Super League, Kuala Muda NAZA 2-0 at the Perak Stadium, in Ipoh. President Cup players, Wan Hossen Wan Abdul Ghani and Shahrizal Mohd Saad contributing Perak goals in the 64th minute and 90th minute respectively.

Even Kuala Muda Naza lined up Liew Kit King, B. Rajnikandh, Anuar Jusoh, and K. Rajan they failed to absorb the fast pace game played by M. Karathu boys.
