If you waiting for a foreigner to take care and guide Malaysia football squad as B. Sathianathan replacement, you need to wait longer. Reports today hinting that FAM opting for local coach and it will be tough battle between K. Rajagopal, Azraai Khor and K. Devan for the hot seat. The name is ready, and the committee will represent the name to FAM President, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah and expected to be announced end of this month.
I personally see that K. Rajagopal have better chance compare to other two candidates since he know his players well from Malaysia Under 19 squad. And he also proved his competency in Malaysia Premier League by guiding Harimau Muda to the top stop in their second season. But in term of CV, Azraai Khor have more successful stint as the coach by guiding Kedah to become treble champion for two consecutive years and well known for producing young talented players like Kyril Muhaimeen, Badrul Bakhtiar, and Fadly Baharom. While K. Devan successfully guide Kuala Muda Naza to Malaysia Super League last season and currently guiding Selangor to the top spot.
