GOOD
1. For the first time in Malaysia football history, Sports Minister Dato’ Shabery Chik coming down to the stadium to be part of FA Cup Final 2009 fans.
2. National Stadium Bukti Jalil full house! The last time we have full attendance in this stadium is when Malaysia vs Indonesia.
3. Credits goes to security (Police, FRU and etc.) who taking a good care of the spectators.
4. We have talented youngster from Selangor and Kelantan.
- Selangor player, Fitri Shazwan Raduwan bringing new dimension to Selangor strike force after coming in replacing Rudie Ramli. He have a good left leg and accurate passing and the best thing he able to get rid of his nervous playing in the final with good ball control.
- Kelantan youngster, Zamri Ramli who played as the right back is really talented guy. No teams in Malaysia League dare to put youngster as the defender except for Peter Butler. Credit goes to him. He keeping C. Premnath and Rudie Ramli quiet in the entire game. K. Rajagopal should look at him for Malaysia under 23 squad.
6. Both teams have a good skipper. Amri Yahyah having his best performance in 2009. He should be in national squad. Amazing diving header from him in FA Cup semi final and final match. And good work rate from Kelantanese Badri Radhzi and his nice hair style is as good as his performance on the field. :)
7. Kelantan will fly to Old Trafford for making into FA Cup Final. Good motivation for them. While each Selangor players will get at least RM15k from the state government. Spend wisely.
BAD
1. Malaysian players lack of stamina and mental strength. Local newspaper reported none of Kelantan player willing to become the first penalty kick when asked by coach Peter Butler. Khalid Jamlus said he was too tired to take penalty kick after playing 120 minutes which is understandable. But Che Hishamuddin who coming in as substitutes middle of the match also has the same excuse? None of Selangor players willing to become first penalty taker when asked by coach K. Devan except from Khairul Anuar Baharom. Good example led by the experience center back.
By winning FA Cup 2009, Selangor have automatic qualification for 2010 AFC Cup. It’s an honour and let’s hopes Selangor will participate in the AFC Cup. Don’t chicken out like what Negeri Sembilan did in 2009. Its definitely bring a good exposure for our local players.
Badri Radzi is no longer Kelantan's best kept secret...I started to take notice of this lad ever since he scored a Rooney-esque chip against Selangor when we were stuffed 5-2 at Kota Baru in the Malaysia Cup last season...
I don't know if you agree with me but the way he run the midfield reminds me of Azizul Abu Hanifah back in the olden day...
we should give him a chance in the ational team..after all he's one of the top performers this season..
p.s:although I'm quite a fan of this lad I'm still Merah Kuning through and through!!haha
Gombak Rock,
Spot on! Agree with you 100%. This lad deserve a chance.
GOOD no2 tu cam kurang tepat jer....last SBJ full house rasenye mase musim 2005...final piala malaysia...Selangor 3 - Perlis 1...
I thought last SBJ full house was the first Piala Malaysia held there in 1998, Terengganu vs Perak about more than 100k?
Anyway for Asian Cup Qualifying we cannot add any other player right now according to the rules by AFC. IIRC I have read it in the newspaper..
Skamals and Anon,
I will check the fact on the last time SBJ full house. Thanks.
Anon,
Regarding Asian Cup Qualifiers, yes its correct but we cant add new players. Only listed players in the first list submitted by FAM are eligible. But the senior squad will feature in Intercontinental Cup and Merdeka Cup in order to improve our world ranking. So there is no reason why good players for 2009 should not feature in national squad.
ohh. in that case I'm all for it for Malaysian squad in Intercontinental Cup, Merdeka Cup and who knows the friendly against MU. heh..
hope FAM doesn't interfere with the player selection by K. Rajagopal.
yup..totally agree with u all about badri radzi...i hope rajagobal can give him a chance to don malaysian team, partnering with amri..both have great skill and creativity for midfielder
