Even FAM haven’t announced the national team coach, there is rumours that Malaysia squad manager, Datuk Gulzar Mohamed prefer to name Dollah Salleh as national team coach. I don’t quit understand why national team manager should interfere with FAM committee that should do the job in selecting the best coach to guide our national team.

As long as there is favoritism and interference in FAM, I don’t see how Malaysia could become among the best team in Asia region.

I read yesterday NST newspaper and I get caught by FAM Deputy President, Datuk Redzuan Sheikh Ahmad statement.

"He will be given a freehand to select players but of course, it must be approved by the association's selection committee,"

Why should we create such a difficult process in selecting national team players? National team coach should know the best players to represent his team, not the committee. It will be the national coach responsibility to come out with the best squad and the best players that he thinks should play for his squad.

Imagine what will happen if national coach prefer to put Khalid Jamlus to pair with Safee Sali but the selection committee did not want Khalid to be include in the national squad because he have discipline issue last time. It will be ridiculous!

Give the full power for national coach to pick his own pool of squad. If the selection committee think they are better than national coach, how bout we just appoint the selection committee to handle the national squad.
