Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) hired K. Ragopal as Malaysia Under 23 head coach with Tan Cheng Hoe and Mohd Faozi Mukhlas act as his assistant.

In the meanwhile FAM informed that the announcement of Malaysia national coach will be made in two weeks time to resolve some issue with state FA who is unwilling to let go their coach.
