GOOD
- Interesting combination in midfield between Bunyamin Umar and K. Gurusamy.
- S. Kunalan he got pace. But he cant play as left winger since he is not a natural left footer. I think he will perform well on right wing. He should score in the 40th minute after collecting rebound from Zaquan shot by placing low into goal instead of shooting high to let keeper save his shot.
- Bunyamin Umar is our midfield general. He is robust. He work hard. Definitely man of the match for the match in the first half. He need to improve his stamina. Malaysia can do wonders if he is fit for 90 minutes.
- Khyril Muhaimeen back as right winger even Azraai Khor play him as striker this season with Kedah. He got pace to beat defender but he need to improve his crossing.
- Farizal Marlias played well. He is good in the air and confidence in handling ball. Good with goal kick. He should be Malaysia no 1.
- Mohd Fandi Othman who come in to replace S. Kunalan is just 17 years old. He show superb skill and good crossing by creating chance to Amirul Hadi who head the ball over the bar.
- Ahmad Shakir Ali is a different type of players compare to Zaquan and Faderin Kadir. He have two shots from outside the penalty box which one hit the post and another one push away by Indonesia goalkeeper. He should be given more time play to shine may be at least 20 to 30 minutes as supersub.
BAD
- Malaysia should improve in defending set pieces especially corner.
- Our boy giving to much space when defending. We need to close our opponent and deny them chance to shoot.
- We need to be mentally strong when playing with opponent who playing rough.
- Sabree Abu is the weakest link at the back four. He tend to lose to pacey striker or winger. May be he need more support from Kyril Muhaimeen or Amirul Hadi like what S. Kunalan did on the left side.
First Half Highlight
Second Half Highlight
yeahh...agree with you on most of the point especially bunyamin and kyril muhaimeen...but we must prepare to have a replacement for bunyamin since amar rohidan is quite slow and lack of idea leaving indon to dominate the game for quite some time in 2nd half...maybe he can consider abd syukor jusof of HM or safiq rahim of KL Plus..about kyril, i still believe he is our key player but as you mentioned, he must improve his crossing...happy to watch young lads like mohd fandi and muslim ahmad play for msia...hopefully RG can give more chances to Shakir Ali and introduce steven Robbart of HM..
after watching our lads last Saturday i still do belief we lack that creative spark in midfield...
honestly we can't play 4-4-2 against man utd...based on saturday's game i think 4-2-3-1 is better...
Anon,
Steven Robbat is another exciting talent that i am looking forward to see in yellow jersey. I prefer Abd Syukor from Harimau Muda as Bunyamin backup compare to Safiq Rahim. I think Safiq Rahim has lost his touch. But i didn't deny he is good when he played for Selangor past two three years back.
GombakRock,
Malaysia U23 squad need some one who is creative to play on side with Bunyamin. Bunyamin is more towards defensive midfielder. Do send me email about your personal choice to play against Man Utd and i will publish it in BolaToday.
But i think KR will call a few senior players like Indra, Shukor, Norhafiz to play with Malaysia U23 against Man Utd.
Sabree Abu lack of pace could expose threat to Harimau defense should opponent play a fast & quick winger.
