I am seeing Malaysia U23 vs Indonesia U23 as our toughest friendly matches compare to the previous game in preparation for the SEA Games in Laos in December.

Indonesia who recently lost to Iran senior side 5-0 and Iran U23 2-1 is getting their third international matches against Malaysia and this is Malaysia fifth international matches excluding two friendly matches against two local sides, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

Indonesia U23 is under guidance of Uruguayan-born coach Cesar Payovich. The lists of Indonesia U23 squad are:

Frenky Irawan, Djayusman Triasdi, Rahmat Latief, Hendro Siswanto, Joko Sidik Fitria Yono, Titus Jhon Londouw Bonai, Tony Sucipto, Corneless Sergius Geddy, Sultan Samma, Jajang Mulyana, Lucky Wahyu, Kurnia Meiga, Ahmad Jufrianto, Wahyu Anggoro, Elvis Nelson Anes Yongki Ariwibowo, Rendy Siregar, Fauzan Djamal, Johan Juansyah, Egi Melgiansyah, and Maikel Detubun

Malaysia should watch out for Boas Solossa and Immanuel Wanggai who play for Indonesia Super League champion, Persipura.

In the pre match conference held in Wisma FAM yesterday, Indonesia U23 manager, Demis Djamaloedin try to hide the fact that Indonesia U23 played in Iran by saying match against Malaysia is their first international friendly match. Meanwhile, K. Rajagopal did not deny he wants his team to win but he wants them to peak at SEA Games rather than in friendly matches. He will keep giving chances to new faces to prove their worth to play for Malaysia U23 squad.

For today match, Malaysia U23 will be without several key players including Syed Adney, Badrul Bakhtiar, Mazlizam Mohd, Shahurani Abu Samah, Razali Umar Kandasamy, Ahmad Fakri Saarani and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha. K. Rajagopal only pick Ahmad Shakir Ali as replacement of the injured players.

Seven players from Harimau Muda included for today match which are Ahmad Shakir Ali, Mohd Faizal Mohammad, Mahaili Jasuli, Mohd Muslim Ahmad, Harimau Muda captain, K. Gurusamy Govandar and 17 years old boy Mohd Fandi Othman. It really interesting to see who is our first eleven for today match but i believe K. Rajagopal will build our squad around Aidil Zafuan, Zakuan Adha and Khyril Muhaimeen.
