A week before Malaysia Cup kick off, Kelantan lost their head coach, Peter James Butler who decided to vacant his post. The news confirmed by Kelantan FA president, Tan Sri Anuar Musa. Peter Butler deputy, Hashim Mustapha will take over the team for Malaysia Cup assisted by President Cup coach, Kamaruddin Md Noor.

Peter Butler is key figure who brought Kelantan to be FA Cup runner up losing to Selangor. Peter Butler contract suppose to be end in November. From the facsimile sent to Kelantan FA, Peter said he needs to leave the team because his wife is sick.

But there is a rumour that he got better offer as Technical Director from Myanmar club, Yangoon United FC.

Losing Peter in Malaysia football scene make me sad as I saw him to have lot of inputs to help our football standard to improve. His recent idea on having next season in the evening to avoid clash with EPL games should be consider by FAM since it will help supporters to turn up to stadium.

All the best to Peter James Butler.

    Well,

I hate to say this Butler did not enjoy the success he had with Kelantan when he took charge of SAFFC years ago.

It was due to his "rather abrasive" approach that don't get down to well with the local football culture that he made his way out of the Warriors barely a few months...

Well, surprised to see him heading into Burmese football.

Could well be the lost world out there.
