Selangor who is favorite to make into the final lastly blow their hope of becoming the first quadruple champion after losing to Terengganu 5-4 from the penalty kick thriller.
After drew 1-1 in the quarter final first leg match, Terengganu open the score in the 12th minute through Abdul Manaf Mamat before R. Surendran equalize the score and aggregate an hour later.
In the penalty kick thriller, Terengganu goalkeeper Sharbinee Allawee emerged as hero to save Nasriq Baharom penalty kick before converting himself the winning goal for Terengganu.
Terengganu is on course to repeat their 2001 success but they need to overcome Wan Jamak Wan Hassan side, Negeri Sembilan who is unbeatable in Malaysia Cup group stage.
For record, Terengganu lost both Malaysia Super League matches 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.

This maybe inappropriate writing my thoughts on this particular matter on the eve of the malaysia cup... nevertheless I feel that we don't deserve to win this game..the players were below par so was the fans...
In all honesty I think that we don't deserve to be in the malaysia cup final just by looking at our SSA attendances throughout the whole season...
maybe we deserve this for being so disrespectful towards last year malaysia cup final...
