After 5 minutes second half started, Kedah have the best changes to lead through Sabree Abu. His placing goes wide to the left. Few minutes later, Kedah grabbed their lead through Khyril Muhaimeen after Marlon cleverly steal the ball from Penang defender and feed the ball to Khyril. He calmly place the ball pass the goalkeeper.



After leading,3-2 Kedah continue to penetrate Penang defense. From corner set pieces, quick pass from Nelson San Martin allowed Khyril Muhaimeen to shot from outside of the penalty box, but it well saved from Penang goalkeeper. Three minutes later, Fadly Baharom nice cross get to Khyril Muhaimeen who manage to fire a volley but it goes wide. Kedah have two great chances two add their score. The first chance come in from Marlon Alex James who setup a shot to Fadly but again Penang goalkeeper denied his hatrick. The second chance come in from Badrul Bakhtiar header which go over the post.

Kedah fifth goal scored by Khyril Muhaimeen after he intelligently intercept V Thirumurugan shot and his rebound hit the net. Kedah newcomer from President squad, Faizal Abu Bakar keep his calm down by providing good cross for Marlon Alex James to head in Kedah sixth goal.



End of the games, Kedah won by 6-2. This will help them to ensure a spot in quarter final.
