
Former national striker, Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli confirmed that he will be leaving Selangor after two seasons with them. Without any major achievement received with Selangor, Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli seeking for better team who can provide him first team opportunity. His contributions at Selangor limited since Selangor coach, Dollah Salleh opt to pair Safee Sali and Frank Seator upfront.
Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli contract expired at the end of August. At the moment, two teams have come up with offer to get Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli services. The two teams are KL Plus, and 2007 / 2008 First Division Champion, Kuala Muda Naza who promoted to Super League for 2009 season. According to Akmal Rizal the negotiation still at early stage and no agreement has been accepted.
