Kedah head coach, Mohd. Azraai Khor Abdullah will ensure his players will play to the fullest to defend their dignity when playing against Bahrain club, Al Muharraq in AFC Cup second leg at Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Star tonight.
“Even it’s difficult to beat Al Muharraq because they fielding their local and good foreigner, but our player will play their best to restore the deficit. I will make sure our players will mark tightly Al Muharraq players to stop them from scoring. The lost of our foreigner due to FAM new rules for next season really give a big impact to Kedah as the youngster still lack of experience at international stage.” Said Azraai Khor
For the record, in first leg Kedah lost 5-0 to Muharraq. Kedah need to rectify all their weaknesses in order not to let the same score happen at Darul Aman stadium tonight, Fitness is the main criteria lack in Kedah squad after Malaysia Cup ended last month. Its proven after they failed to absorb Muharraq attack after 70minutes where they let go five goals in last 20 minutes.
Meanwhile Al Muharraq coach, Salman Shareedh said his team is not looking down to Kedah even with the bigger margin for second leg. He is sure Kedah player will play their best in front of their home supporters and they will try to get revenge for what happen in the first leg. He added he will field his best squad for tonight match to make sure they qualify to semi final AFC Cup.
