The dirty and muddy field made playing environment hard but defending title holder Malaysia still in control to defeat Nepal 4-0 in a Merdeka Cup group A game at MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya Wednesday night.

On the other hand, Nepal, ranked 175 in the FIFA world ranking kept back the Malaysian strike force at bay for the first 20 minutes before Indraputra Mahayuddin smacked the first goal.
