Kelantan promoted to Malaysia Super League earlier than they expected.

At first, they set the target to get promoted next season as the champion of Malaysia Premier League. However, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) pulled out from Malaysia Super League next season due to insufficient budget. As the third place team in Malaysia Premier League 2008, Kelantan automatically promoted to Malaysia Super League 2009.

This news for sure will make their fans goes wild after they heavily invest into quality players like Khalid Jamlus, Indraputra Mahayuddin, and Daudsu Jamaluddin. However, the news is not official yet from Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).

FAM will have their meeting on December 6, so we can expect the news to be out on that day. I am sure FAM can’t afford to lose another team in Malaysia Super League since it’s not competitive enough to have only 13 teams participating. In the other hand, it will make the Malaysia Super League more interesting since Kelantan is a quality team to play in Malaysia Super League.
