
Selangor head coach, K. Devan submitted only 24 players from 25 permits to Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for Malaysia League 2009. He confident that these 24 players good enough to win title for Selangor. He also unable to find another player after Hardi Jaafar became the last recruit for Selangor camp.
Selangor now will focus to monitor players’ age under 20 due to FAM rules that each team need at least one players age under 20 for full 90 minutes. K. Devan said that at least two players from President Squad to be absorb to senior team.
After failed to impress in Pre Season Tournament, Selangor will have friendly match with Malaysia Under-20 this Saturday at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya. On Tuesday they will meet Pre Season Tournament champion, T-Team at Shah Alam stadium.
K. Devan said the objective of these two matches is to determine to fitness level of his players, combination, understanding and adaptation to his tactical. So far Selangor only have 18 from their 24 players with Safee Sali, Hardi Jaafar, Amirul Hadi Zainal, and Asraruddin Putra Omar training with national team.
Meanwhile, Selangor striker, S. Sritharan and third goalkeeper, Fairul Azwan Shahrullai still out with injury after having knee operation. Selangor fans, don’t forget to come to support your team.
