Selangor snapped three Perak players to strengthen their mission to win silverware for the new season. Two goalkeepers and a midfielder is the latest addition to their squad. The players are talented young goalkeeper Mohd Nasril Nourdin, experienced goalkeeper Mohd Hamsani Ahmad and national midfielder K. Nanthakumar.
With the latest addition, K. Devan will have more option and good competition between Nasril and Hamsani to wear number 1 jersey. Last season, Steve Darby keep switching among Nasril and Hamsani. However, Nasril have better chance to get pick up as the main contender due to injury prone Hamsani Ahmad and Nasril Nourdin status as national U23 goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, K. Nanthakumar joined Selangor as direct replacement for Shukor Adan who has been released by Selangor FA. K. Nanthakumar experienced at international stage will be crucial for Selangor as their holding midfielder and backup for their back line.
The FA of Selangor (FAS) have keep hold of 14 players from last season’s troop and had earlier signed up six players — five from Police and one from Negri Sembilan.
They are midfielders Mohd Fauzan Dzulkifli, Sanjos Sundawat, Mohd Fazli Baharuddin, Mohd Fazli Baharuddin, striker Rudie Ramli (Police) and defender Mohd Khairul Anuar Baharum (Negri).
