D-day for Malaysia

It will be a do or die mission for Malaysia when they take on Merdeka Tournament champion Vietnam in their second match of the AFF Suzuki Cup here Monday.

Vietnam is better side from Malaysia where they reached the quarter finals of the 2007 Asian Cup. Definitely they have advantage through experienced and lucky to have pool of hard working players. However, I hope this will be a close game and Malaysia can win to ensure we make it to semi final.

Another thing is I hope players remain focus on the game even though they are unsettled with the news from Asean Football Federation (AFF) to move the last Malaysia game against Thailand to Bangkok. Malaysia should use the opportunity to get early goal to pressure Vietnam player who need three points in this match.

Sathianathan singled out Le Cong Vinh, Nguyen Viet Than and Pham Thanh Binh as Vietnam's most dangerous players. Le Cong created history in the V-League when he moved from Song Lam Nghe An Club to The Cong for a record US$500,000

All player should be fit for today game. Lets hope Sathianathan will put the correct player into this match. I am hoping to see Safee Sali in the first eleven with Zaquan.

This is my personal tactical against Vietnam

Helmi Eliza
Daudsu – Aidil Zafuan – Norhafiz Zamani – Asrarudin
Amirul Hadi – Hardi – Shukor – Indra
Zaquan – Safee

My prediction is Malaysia winning this game 2-0
