As you all know, Malaysia lost to Vietnam. At one time when Indraputra scored the equalizer at the 85th minutes, i know all of you are smiling and thinking draw should be a good result against Vietnam.
However, bad judgment from Malaysia goalkeeper seeing all Malaysian losing their hope against the national team. B. Sathianathan have found the person to blame if he unable to qualify to semifinal. It will not be suprise if B. Sathianathan will drop Helmi Eliza in the last group match against Thailand tomorrow.
What i can say, it's not a good day for Helmi during Vietnam match. He concede three soft goal shoot outside from goalkeeper box. The only way to qualify to final is to beat Thailand in the last group match at Bangkok and hoping that Vietnam will only score less than three goals against Laos.
Credits to Indraputra who excellent at set pieces. He is the best senior player for Malaysia. Whatever is the result, give Thailand a good fight. B. Sathianathan can try to surf jobstreet.com to find his new job.
Yesterday when he took out Daudse to let Juzaili Sameon to play on the right back totally is not the good idea. It was Juzaili error that misjudge the ball for Vietnam second goal. Malaysia can kill the game if Safee Sali chip ball didnt hit the post.
Lets stop whining. Lady luck is not smiling at us yesterday.
In the overall, I've to admit that I'm a bit surprised with how Malaysian team perform in this tournament. Performance against Vietnam was just great. But still, it's down to the keeper's fault.
So far as I concern, why Malaysian never produce a good goalkeeper that they can rely on. Indonesia has 2 good keepers in their squad, Myanmar has 1, Vietnam also has 1. But why not Malaysia? I think we saw enough of bad performance from Malaysian goalkeeper's.
Such a pity that while Malaysia can manage to have a tidy competition but can't produce a good national team. What happen to Malaysian football?
Indonesia's competition is not as good as Malaysia's, but why in term of performance, Malaysia is not as good as Indonesia? This is something to be thought by FAM.
Helmi Eliza is the best goalkeeper so far that we have. Even though he is not as great as Khairul Azman Muhammad who once name as the best goalkeeper in ASEAN region.
He have three major trophies for two consecutive years under his belt. He is the man who saved Deco amazing shot during Chelsea friendly game. He is the man who deny Laos first goal in the AFF tournament with two great saves.
He is only unlucky not performing well against Vietnam. We need to understand that football is not one man game. Defender also need to take responsibility on the first and second goal. Striker for not converting chances into goal.
Lets pray Helmi will come back stronger and learn his lesson.
