Below is B. Sathianathan comment after Laos games. He said that Safee Sali is complaining that he felt uncomfortable at back of his knee and worried about his hamstring problem might occur if he push to play. So Sathia decided to give Hairuddin the chance to play upfront. Even Safee said he feeling well on the match day, Sathia opt no to change his tactical.

There is also rumours that the last group match will be moved to Bangkok. This will impact our final match against Thailand if this happen. This is crucial match for Malaysia if we lost to Vietnam or might give the advantages to home team if we tie with 6 points with Thailand in determining the group B champion.

FAM Deputy President, Khairy Jamaluddin said Malaysia will object the idea if Asean Football Federation (AFF) come to FAM with the idea on moving the venues. Khairy said they can finish the group game at Phuket before thinking to move the game to Bangkok for semifinal match.
