Selangor camp confident that they can win the Charity Shield because he believed Selangor has made good preparation and the quality in his team where they have good mixture between experienced and young talented players. K. Devan said that morale of his players is very high towards 2009 season. Selangor manager, Zakaria Abdul Rahim confident they can bag at least two cups which are Malaysia Cup and FA Cup for 2009 season.

While in Kedah camp, Azraai Khor said his players is ambitious to get Charity Shield cup after losing to Perlis last season on penalty kick. The Charity Shield Cup is the only cup that Kedah failed to land since making the famous double treble.
