Tomorrow, AFC Cup 2009 will kick off and two teams from Malaysia involved. They are Kedah and Johor FC. Kedah is trying their luck for third consecutive seasons while Johor FC is the new face for 2009 replacing Perak who playing under Steve Derby guidance last year.

As usual, not much hype created by local media and FAM. I bet only Kedah, Johor FC and few passionate Malaysian fans that know about this match. For your information there are two matches that will play tomorrow. Below are the details.

AFC Cup group list and fixtures involving Malaysia state and club:

In Group F, PSMS Medan from Indonesia is favorite to secure the top spot while Chonburi FC who play in Asian Champion League last year is the favorite to win Group G. Kedah traveling to Vietnam to play against Hanoi ACB will feauture their strongest first eleven but will be without former Penang striker Farizal Rozali who still nursing with fractured ankle.

Azrai spoke to The Star journalist that Kedah target is to secure top two finish in the group and qualify to knockout phase. And he also confirmed that he will not take the competition lightly even Kedah is without any foreign player.

Hanoi ACB are powered by three Africans — midfielders Hassan Sesay (Sierra Leone) and Joseph Ngake (South Africa) and striker Charles Livingstone (Uganda).

Johor FC who having home advantage tomorrow need better tactical to avoid series of losses that they got in Malaysia Super League. It will be a good experience to Ramlan Rashid boy to appear in higher level seeking experience to form better team.
