Johor FC picked up a point in their AFC Cup opening match with goalless draw against VB Sports Club of Maldives in Group F match at JCorp Stadium in Pasir Gudang.
This is the first time Johor FC are contending in an Asian level competition and will next meet up PSMS Medan from Indonesia on March 17.

In another match, Kedah went down 3-1 away to Vietnam's Hanoi ACB in Group G.
Kedah only goal come through Badrul Bakhtiar in 5 minutes before match end after Hanoi ACB lead with three goals in second half. Hanoi ACB goal scored by Goran Gajic, Pham Tanh Luong, and Trung Huymh Diep.
