What a game and no body expect this match will end with a slight win for Manchester United in match played at Bukit Jalil in front of 100,000 supporters in the sea of red who prefer to support Manchester United compare to Malaysia. Even at one time the match looked like being held to a surprise draw.

In the first 8 minutes, Malaysia is playing well and compose but Manchester United first attempt to Malaysia goal works when Dimitiar Berbatov shoot was pushed by Farizal Marlias straight to Wayne Rooney who score easily. And again magic from Rooney 10 minutes later when his pin point passes found Nani who easily tap into the goal.

A minute before half time, a long pass from Malaysia side found Amri Yahyah who cleverly lob the ball to pass Edwin Van Der Sar who is out of position. The match ended 2-1 at half time.

In the second half, Ben Foster come in to replace Edwin Van Der Sar. Ben Foster failed to control a back pass from Darren Gibson and Amri Yahyah quick to react who poach the ball for Malaysia equalizer.

Owen come in to replace Rooney after Manchester United failed to convert their chances. Alex Ferguson tactical move works when Owen who collect the ball from Zoran Tosic one on one attempt and he pounce on the loose ball in for Manchester United winning goal in the 85th minute and save their blushes.

A great match in Kuala Lumpur and this might shed the light for our SEA Games squad at the end of the year. :)

Update: This coming Monday (July 20) will be another rematch between Malaysia and Manchester United. Will Man Utd go all out in second match? Revenge of the fallen may be?

Is Amri the living legend that we are looking after SuperMokh?

His excellent form this season and in tonight match can easily make him player of the season 2009.

I bet Malaysia have a lot to offer if we have Safee Saali up front compare to injured Zaquan Adha in today match.

Great game today... It was a delight to see manchester united and the malaysian XI having a competitive game... the boys did great but still... they need to work even harder if they want to win the gold medal at the sea game..

honestly safee sali has a lot more to offer than zaquan...after all he is malaysia's best striker...but then safee can be a wee bit selfish at times (like most great strikers)..

i would like to see coach raja experimenting with the combo of badhri radzi and bunyamin omar in the middle of the park...i think piya and bunyamin ill make a great midfield pairing!!

haha. cool. Amri will win MVP09 should Selangor win the Super League. great season for him. safee would be a great addition, he is more physical compared to zaquan and can beat defenders with his pace..

it was unfortunate for Badri Radzi to miss this match due to broken leg. i really admire his ability especially in converting free kick.

I wish K. Rajagopal can call Safee Saali for this Monday match. But it will defeat the purpose of maintaining the SEA Games squad since we really need our under 23 striker to get match experience before flying to Laos.

If we need a physical striker, Stanley Bernard Samuel is the man since Razali Umar Kandasamy didnt make into this squad.
