I bet most of us did not aware that our Malaysia U18 squad traveling today to Vietnam for AFF U19 YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP 2009. Even the tournament is for player’s age under 19, Malaysia decided to send out our Malaysia U18 squad to gel our squad for the most important tournament in November which is AFC U19 Qualifiers at China.

At first, Ministry of Education banned our student to enter AFF U19 Youth Championship because they worried about H1N1 threat to our players, but changed their mind in the last minutes. Eight teams competing in the tournament which I am sure Australia, Thailand and Vietnam is favorites to win the tournament.

Malaysia will feature in Group B which consists of Myanmar, Timor Leste and Vietnam.
