Take your time and watch the video below which I found at one of my favorite blog Batu Ompek Paroi. I agree on the stand made by Wan Jamak Wan Hassan on his team and what is the changes should FAM perform for next season. I think Malaysia League committee should invite a few top team coaches to the meeting and get their input on what they would like to see in the next season. I am sure lot of input they can get from the coaches because they understand the strong and weak point of our league structure better than anyone else.
Among Wan Jamak Wan Hassan point is we need a good junior league system between 12 to 20 years old before making grade into Super League or Premier League. This will help players to acquire basic football skills in term of passing, vision, first touch and etc. I really disappoint to see some of our players who haven’t master this basic technique but still able to play in the highest league in
I really like our league structure that consists of 14 teams. It will give better competition among the team like what happen this season between Selangor, Perlis, Kedah, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan. I hope Malaysia League committee will not slip back our league system back to 8 teams when they firstly introduce Malaysia Super League.
The only problem FAM should focus now is how to help state and club FA to manage their money well. Without a good management in FA, Malaysia League will continually see financial problem in FA every season. We need someone who is dedicate and discipline to manage and help a football team not someone who is willing to get extra allowance by sitting in the manager post doing nothing.
