Draw has been made and Malaysia being position in Group A consisting of Thailand, Vietnam, Timor Leste and Cambodia.

While Group B will feature Laos, Myanmar, Singapore and Indonesia.

Top two teams from each group will make into semi final match even though Group A will have one extra match because of five teams in Group A comparing to Group B which is 4. Thailand, last SEA Games champion will definitely be a favourite to qualify from Group A and Vietnam and Malaysia will fight for the second spot. But with the great result achieved by our Under 23 team recently, i am putting high hope they will qualify as the Group Champion.

In the meanwhile there is friendly match happen yesterday in Palembang, Indonesia between Indonesia and Malaysia. The match ended with Malaysia winning 3-1. Malaysia goals scores by Amri Yahyah, Badrol Bakhtiar and Safiq Rahim.
