Selangor drew 0-0 in their first match against Proton FC in Pre Season Tournament hosted by Felda United and Kuala Lumpur. Both team with their new manager, K. Devan for Selangor and Yunos Alif for Proton FC failed to convert their chances.

Malaysia Super League newcomer, Kuala Lumpur PLUS (KL PLUS) performed well in their first game against their 'brother' Kuala Lumpur. They beat Kuala Lumpur 2-0. KL PLUS goal scored by ex Selangor player Safiq Rahim and ex national defender, Aziz Ismail.
