What Malaysian don't want happen. FAM decided to continue B. Sathianathan service as national team coach. Not only for Asian Cup qualifiers, but for another year.
FAM break their promise. They said Sathia will lose his job if Malaysia failed to go to final. Malaysian can forgive Sathia if we make it to semi final at least, but losing in group stage is really embarrassing.

OMG.....really???
oh god..no hopes for malaysian football..but even a new coach couldn't help malaysia in the asia cup..
that's good news for Malaysian football, 7months isn't a long time to build a squad especially to enter the international stage, even Sir Alex Ferguson didn't win anything on hi 1st season as manager of MU, give him time, our squad had the potential, they even managed to elevate their rank in FIFA during these 7 months. sometime changes isn't the only option, new coach and maybe a new line-up of players would mean we have to start all over again from scratch
I have to say that the writer is not thinking well enough to state that FAM's decision to retain Sathianathan as National Coach as a mistake.
He improved the disastrous squad of 2007 Asian Cup. I Think, in time our national team will improve and hopefully will become a serious contender in ASIAN CUP QUALIFIER.
Did Sathia bring improvement?
Malaysia never failed to qualify at least to semi final since Tiger Cup aka AFF Cup introduced in 1996.
Malaysia they always have high expectation for foreign coaches, even when they have done a good job, they are still not satisfied with it, like Allan Haris, and few coaches before that... but for Malaysia own product, don;t understand how can they still have the patience...I remember few years back, we beat thai at the group stage and went on to become the 2nd runner up in tiger cup...they were playing good football unlike now, cant even match singapore and indonesia and thailand... They seriously should consider on hiring a foreign coach
